I’m so excited to be writing about my birthday! On the 10th April I turned 21! I had the most amazing few days celebrating, and have felt like I’m on a total high ever since!

As it was my 21st I couldn’t just celebrate for one day…instead I had four days of fun with all of my favourite people!

After a busy day couple of days in Brighton for work (including a walk along the sea front and a trip to my favourite bakery of course!) and then visiting my friend in Colchester on the way home for cocktails in the sun, I popped home for a few hours to pack and then set off again to Manchester for the weekend with my cousin Ella.

Me and Ella have always been close growing up and I love that we get to spend more time together now she lives just down the road. Having a cousin who is also one of your best friends is great!

After a 4 hour drive (which seems a breeze for me now after travelling across the country a couple of times a week for the past six months!), we arrived at our hotel and spent hours getting ready, drinking cocktails and taking pictures…what we do best!

We had the most incredible night…definitely one of the best nights out I’ve ever had! And that’s all I’m saying because I know my parents read my blog hahaha.

On the Sunday morning we were feeling surprisingly good (very surprisingly considering we had to check the Uber app to see where we were picked up from and then google map it to find out where we’d been the night before!). So we headed off to the Trafford Centre for a day of doing my other favourite thing aside from drinking cocktails…shopping!

I’d never been to the Trafford Centre before and was amazed…I kept saying I felt like I was on holiday somewhere! I love Manchester and have been saying for years that I’d like to live there, so we also went for a walk around Salford Quays/Media City to check out some of the apartments I’d been looking at!

We had the most amazing weekend…definitely the best way to start my birthday!

Now onto my actual birthday!

After a much needed lay in and then a walk along the beach, I then opened my cards and presents with my family. My mum and step-dad bought me the most beautiful rose gold infinity which I love!

One of my favourite parts to my birthday was getting to spend the day with my best friend. Me and Hannah used to spend every single day together, whether it was for one of our beach walks, backpacking around Europe together, or spending hours revising for our A Levels whilst watching our favourite films. But then I moved to Brighton and Hannah moved to Plymouth for uni, so we only get to see each other a couple of times a year now.

We had tea and cake at one of our favourite cafes, and then went out for lunch afterwards too! We had so much to catch up on and I can honestly say I haven’t laughed so much in ages. It really did make my day getting to spend it with Hannah!

In the evening I was back at my mum’s house for a delicious home-cooked Indian feast with all the family, followed by birthday cake and more presents…lucky me!

Another day of birthday fun!

First I went for lunch with my mum, step-dad, and step-sister at Margo’s Lounge in Gorleston. It’s a lovely little retro coffee shop and the food is delicious.

Then it was off to my dad’s house to celebrate my birthday there. My step-mum had planned a surprise dinner at the gorgeous Trattoria Rustica, followed by my dad’s homemade birthday cake and then drinks at All Bar One. It was so nice to have all of my family there, I really didn’t expect to see everyone! I’m so lucky to have such a wonderful family.

With my cousins Grace and Ella…we hadn’t all been together for five years!

Me and Corey…recovering from chicken pox but he’d just seen his pizza coming!

So I’ve had a busy week! Thank you to everyone who made my 21st one to remember…it really has been the best birthday ever!
